In many cases it is simply a case of looking for a bathtub for a small apartment bathroom, and it is here you'll find a wide range of small bathtubs styles that will give you a huge number to choose from. These include the small square bathtub, a traditional style which is often done in a design similar to the Japanese soaking bathtub. These are usually around 60" x 60 in square and can make a great corner soaking tub, perhaps one placed on a pedestal to give a better design impact. However, there are a few styles of small round bathtub, though these tend to be a little more expensive.

Small Bathtubs Save Space

The good news is that these bathtubs can often be made from fiberglass or acrylic, and therefore can be molded into many different shapes. Many of the small corner bath tubs are available in a wide range of sizes to suit even the smallest bathroom, and there are now many designs available in seated bathtubs, something which can enable two people to bathe at once, using the upright soaker style to save on space.

A small soaker bathtub can be fitted in a corner or also in the center of the room, something which can be a good style for the larger bathroom, enabling you to give a better sense of space by utilizing the compact bathtub style. Another option is to use a small bathtub with shower, something which can save even more space and give you the option to use the bathtub as a simple shower cubicle.

Traditionally this would have been an upright soaking tub with a seat, and usually made of wood, but the modern designs tend to be small square bathtubs often made from acrylic or metal. There are even small copper soaking tubs now available, many of which are handmade. The drawback is that these tend to be expensive. Some of these also a drawer in traditional Western influences, having claw feet and brass faucets. There is also a wide range of shapes available including oval and round.

If you have a very small bathroom then looking for an extra small bathtub is also an option, and here again there are a wide range of styles available. These can range from very small 40 gallon tubs up to the larger 80 gallon tubs, and are often done in the upright or small corner bathtub style as a way of saving space.
